About The Blogger

I have a strong background in education, human services, and experience with gifted and at-risk populations. Traditionally trained as a teacher, I have worked in a number of educational environments, including higher education, adult and continuing education settings, and primary and secondary education. In 10+ years in education and working with at-risk populations I have become an expert in curriculum development, clinical planning, and student and family affairs.

My 15 years experience in public speaking and the performing arts has developed my expertise in oral and written communication and leadership skills, and built my unwavering confidence in working with diverse populations. Currently, I have focused my educational and social services background towards a career in supporting health and human services and non-profit organizations by helping them develop strong programming and fundraising events. As a programming specialist for a lecture agency, I work to creatively match non-profit organizations with keynote speakers, to further promote the organization's efforts.

COMMUNICATION, EDUCATION, & MENTORING are everything to me. I believe they are open concepts, obviously applicable to the school setting, but critically necessary for learning and success in the workplace, on the playing field, and throughout the experiences of a lifetime.
